Welcome to Muskeg Excursions live hunt
which will be posted daily (maybe multi daily) from the Cabin at Hollis
on Prince of Wales Island
*****************************************************
It's a simi-nice morning this morning
(calm before the storm).....
Ed and the boys are going to head out in
the skiff, after a breakfast of Ham, Eggs and Fried Potatoes ...
and this morning we have switched to Dead Man's Reach ... possibly the
best coffee there is ... and Adam is about on his second cup .... can
you believe it !!!!!!
I have to head into town and get fuel
.....
As posted on the NOAA site:
AN UNUSUALLY STRONG LATE SPRING STORM IS EXPECTED TO BRING HEAVY
RAIN TO THE PANHANDLE WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT. MOST
LOCATIONS SHOULD EXPECT 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN WITH AS MUCH AS 4
INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE IN THE WETTER AND TERRAIN FAVORED
LOCATIONS.
FREEZING LEVELS ARE FORECAST TO CLIMB TO 5,000 FEET ACROSS THE
NORTH TO OVER 10,000 FEET IN THE SOUTH. THE HIGH FREEZING LEVELS...
COMBINED WITH AN UNUSUALLY DEEP SNOW PACK IN THE MOUNTAINS AND THE
LIKELIHOOD OF HEAVY RAIN...COULD RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT RISES ON
THE REGIONS RIVERS. ALSO THERE WILL BE AN INCREASED RISK OF
AVALANCHE AND SNOW SLIDE ACTIVITY.
Back to the cabin with the fuel and a few
needed supplies ... shortly followed by Ed, Chuck and Adam .... they had
a nice day on the water .... sighted a small sow ....
